The study of history requires investigation, imagination, empathy, and respect. Reverence just doesn't enter into it. - Jill Lepore
There is a common misperception that studying
history simply involves who, what, when, facts and figures - remembering
people, events, key dates, and places etc. We firmly believe that the past
teaches us about the present; If we are intrigued by our past and learn its
implications on our future, it boosts our cultural awareness and moral
understanding of the world we live in.
So, this endeavour of Time Travel is focussed at
nurturing the citizenship values - the principles and values of democracy,
sense of belonging, patriotic values and self-identity. We encourage our
curious learners to develop a strong thought process as a national or community
leader, an informed voter, a petitioner, or a simple observer. We strive to
develop a range of transferable skills – reflective thinking and critical
thinking, to research and general awareness.
This Virtual Exhibition, organised by our students
to celebrate the success stories of our motherland - Inventions and
Contributions, Accolades achieved in different fields, Women Empowerment and
Progress of Indian Agriculture and Education System is conceptually focused on
three key areas of learning:
1.
Community-based
2.
Project-based
3.
Proficiency-based
Let us rejoice the glory of the Nation while we take
a glimpse of the past, how we have evolved while retaining cohesion and find
points of continuity.
